Class of 2014, this is our graduation gift to you. If you are a 2014 graduate of a public high school in Orange or Osceola counties and have a standard diploma, we will pay for your first class (3-credit hours) at Valencia College.

This tuition waiver will be applied to your account in July. You will be sent an email to your Atlas account when the tuition waiver has been applied. Payments made by Florida Pre-paid, Bright Futures, Tuition Installment Plan (TIP) and/or financial aid should be made after the waiver is applied to avoid any transactions errors.
The tuition waiver (3-credit hours) may only be applied to the Fall 2014 term and is non-transferable to another term (i.e. Spring). There is no “cash value” – meaning that if you drop a 3-credit hour course and do not re-register for another course in Fall Term, you will not receive a refund for the value of the class.
How do I know if I’m eligible?
To receive the free class offer, you must have graduated in 2014 with a standard diploma from a public high school in Orange or Osceola counties.
I am a home school graduate; am I eligible?
Yes. As long as your home school is registered with an Orange or Osceola county public high school.
What do I need to do?
Just follow the steps to enrollment, submit your official final high school transcript, and register for the fall 2014 class you wish to take. Valencia will automatically identify you as eligible for the free class (3-credit hours) and will drop the cost from your bill. You do not need to fill out any special forms.
How will the tuition waiver be applied?
This tuition waiver will be applied to your account as long as you meet the requirements described. You do not have to make separate notification or application. You will be sent an email to your Atlas account when the tuition waiver has been applied.
Is there a deadline?
Yes. You must enroll for the class by July 3, 2014 and pay any additional fees by August 15, 2014.
How long does it take to complete the steps to enroll?
Please plan for at least two weeks for all enrollment documents to be processed. We encourage you to start the enrollment process as soon as possible in order to meet important deadlines and avoid long wait times.
Does the free class offer apply to Flex Start classes in the fall term?
Yes, as long as you enroll for the 2014 fall term by July 3, 2014 and pay any additional fees by August 15, 2014.
Does this include lab fees, books, or other fees?
No. This offer does not cover costs of lab fees, books or other educational materials. The free class offer only applies to one 3-credit hour class. Please check if your class has any additional fees. If it does, you must pay them before the fall term Fee Payment Deadline of August 15, 2014 or you will lose your free class.
Is there a minimum number of classes I have to take to get the free class offer?
Just one. You are not required to take any additional classes. If you choose to take any additional classes, you will need to pay for them by the fall term Fee Payment Deadline of August 15, 2014.
If I sign up for more than one class, when must I pay for my other classes?
You must pay for all classes that you have registered for by the fall term Fee Payment Deadline of August 15, 2014. Make sure you do not pay your balance before the waiver is applied to your account. This tuition waiver will be applied to your account in July. You will be sent an email to your Atlas account when the tuition waiver has been applied. Payments made by Florida Prepaid, Tuition Installment Plan (TIP), Bright Futures and/or financial aid should be made after the waiver is applied to avoid any transaction errors.
What if I do not pay for additional classes by the Fee Payment Deadline of August 15, 2014? Will I still get my free class?
No. If you do not pay for additional courses and fees by the Fee Payment Deadline of August 15, 2014, you will be dropped from all of your courses and will lose the opportunity to receive a free class (3-credit hours) – you may re-register for classes, but you will need to pay for them.
What if I have already earned credits or am taking a class at Valencia (including Dual Enrollment or Career Pathways)?
As long as you are a 2014 public high school graduate of Orange or Osceola county, you are still eligible for a free class (3-credit hours).
What if I am already receiving financial aid or scholarships?
Financial aid or scholarship funds that are not applied to tuition and fees are available for use in the Valencia bookstore or will be disbursed to the student in accordance with the refund preference selected using your Valencia Debit Card. Students who are already receiving full scholarships from Valencia are not eligible, such as, Bridges, Seneff Honors College and Orange County’s Take Stock in Children.
